With these Empire State Building tickets, you'll see panoramic views of up to six states from the surrounding open-air promenade and climate-controlled viewing galleries. The view from up top is breathtaking, figuratively (and sometimes literally too!). The most iconic spot on this skyscraper is the 86th floor, where many movies, like 'Independence Day' and 'Sleepless in Seattle', have filmed memorable scenes. Marvel at the inspiring murals adorning the walls and ceiling as you go. The smiling team of burgundy-uniformed personnel at the front door will usher you into this city classic. The Empire State Building was completed in 1931, and this Art Deco icon still retains its charm. With ongoing exhibitions on the second and 80th floors, and two observation decks, the Empire State Building is the best way to see the Empire State.
But it's nothing compared to looking down on New York from atop its most famous skyscraper located in the heart of Manhattan.
Thank you Empire State Building for having me, I truly had an amazing visit that I’ll never forget.Looking up at New York's skyscrapers is quite an experience. I wish I could stay longer or, even better, have a lifetime membership there so I could visit every single day. I loved everything about the new museum and the outstanding NYC view. I had such a wonderful time at the Empire State Building. Off-season tickets, especially during wintertime, will be less expensive. Off-peak hours are 8 am – 10 am and 11 pm – 2 am.ģ. The best way to buy tickets is directly through the ESB official website or, if you want to visit multiple landmarks, the city pass is your best option.Ģ. On the attached live video you can see our entire ESB experience: from the second-floor museum to the elevators and the observatory deck.ġ. There we discovered the breathtaking view of NYC. And on my way to the elevators, I saw an impressive collection of photos of celebrities visiting the ESB, took notes and got myself a photo of the same iconic backdrop.įrom the second floor experience, we continued directly to the elevators that took us all the way up to the observatory deck on the 86th floor. Also, now I know which companies are located inside the EBS (companies like LinkedIn, Agoda and Shutterstock) and how their office looks like.
Walking through the museum, I found images of the old Waldorf Astoria hotel before it was demolished, the ESB construction site and some sculptures of the on-site construction workers, the famous Otis old and new elevators, different scenes of all-time favorite movies featuring the ESB such as Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally. The design is absolutely flawless and that was only the beginning of my adventure.
#King kong empire state building windows#
First of all, how cool is it to witness King Kong trying to break into the Empire State Building? I was delighted and a little bit horrified to see King Kong’s face looking at me through the windows as his two gigantic hands are already inside the building. It was my first time inside the ESB and it was everything I hoped it would be.
Today I was super excited to visit the Empire State Building and to experince the new second-floor museum.
